Lot 10 - CHRISTIES CHINESE MING BLUE & WHITE PORCELAIN VASE

Chinese Ming blue and white porcelain vase of Meiping form. Baluster-form body rising to a lipped rim and resting on a slightly flared base. Decorated with lotus scrolls having buds in various stages of bloom, with curled and spiky trident leaves intertwined with branches of millet. Band of six lotus sprigs around base and scrolled vines around shoulder, separated with double line borders. Holds Christie's label to underside. Measures 10" (25.5cm) height. Provenance: Christie's Hong Kong, Lot 549, October 31, 1994.
