Carl Barks and Theo Fabergé (Another Rainbow, 1992) collaboration titled 'Scrooge McDuck Midnight Egg'. exterior of the crystal Egg has been hand etched and enamelled to depict the exterior of the Treasury Building. Where else would one expect to find the world's richest self-made duck, but wallowing in the gold and treasure within the heart of the Treasury at midnight. This humorous scene has been created from sterling silver, gold, enamel, amethyst, sapphire and ruby. Push back the rim of the urn, and you'll find an extra cache of coins. Originally planed as a limited edition of 250, only 73 exist, with the others destroyed by Another Rainbow. Holds maker's marks to edge of sculpture. Signed to underside of crystal egg and numbered 39. Includes deluxe carrying case. Egg measures 5 1/2" (14cm) height.
