Allen Simon (1907-2007) pen and India ink of window scene. Titled Taxco. Window frame is actually painted on the inner boarder of the mat. Work measures 17 1/2" (44.5cm) x 13 3/4 (35cm). Frame measures 28 (71cm) x 22 1/2 (57cm). Allen Simon was born in Sheffield England in 1907. His professional studies included Cooper Union, the National Academy of Design, and the Art Student's League. After struggling economically through The Great Depression, Mr. Simon was offered the position as Art Director of the United Jewish Appeal, a fund raising organization.
